Did you change your topic during this process?
Not really. A few of the research aspects that I considered doing (i.e. parts of the piano) were dropped, because of the senior recital part (which took up more time, in terms of a solid timeline for perfecting piano pieces and in terms of planning).
Were you able to find information on your topic that was helpful to your understanding of the subject?
I felt like I had a lot of great information that was helpful for both violin and piano.
Where you able to stretch yourself to learn more on the topic or did you find that you relied only on what you already knew on the topic? Be specific.
A lot of the info for violin was information that I already had, but it was great to review stuff about the piano (that I had forgotten over the last few years)
In what way have you grown intellectually as a result of this project?
I have learned a lot about the process of organizing something like a recital, and it has helped me review my theory with the scales and chords, and also with little things in my repertoire pieces that I never really understood before.
How would you approach the process differently if you had another opportunity to learn in this manner?
I would probably choose one instrument to focus on the whole semester, instead of flopping between two, because it sort of broke up the flow (which I think minimized my progress)
What was the greatest benefit of your learning experience?
